元青花瓷（又称元青花），即元代生产的。青花瓷生产于，兴盛于。成熟的青花瓷出现在元代的景德镇，纹饰最大特点是构图丰满，层次多而不乱。元青花瓷大改传统瓷器含蓄内敛风格，以鲜明的视觉效果，给人以简明的快感。以其大气豪迈气概和艺术原创精神，将青花绘画艺术推向顶峰，确立了后世青花瓷的繁荣与长久不衰。

元青花是当时朱元璋带着军队南征北战，路过著名的瓷器之都景德镇，每天为了争夺天下而闷闷不乐，这种情绪影响了当时瓷器的制造艺人，开始改变原有的生产制造方式，不再局限于传统瓷器一般都是花卉鸟兽等样式，而开始用写实的方式讲述戏剧故事，有许多我们耳熟能详的故事，譬如，萧何月下追韩信、鬼谷下山等。元青花数量少其实不多，因为元朝建都北京至灭国，一共97年，建国时间短，完整的也不过一百件左右，全球也只有不到三百件。一是因为元青花当时主要是销往中西亚地区的，并不是全部供给国内的贵族或百姓使用，所以并没有大规模的生产。二是因为元青花里有高岭土，极其贵，且少，元末明初的时候就很少再见到了。

此展品为元代精品。元代青花瓷的制瓷原料就采用了瓷土加高岭土的“二元配方”。青料采用国产青料，国产青料，其成分为高锰、高铝的，与同时的进口料差别很大，所描绘的青花纹饰呈色蓝灰或蓝黑，见浓淡色阶，青料积聚处有蓝褐色或黄褐色斑点，黑褐色的斑点较少，如含锰过高时青花纹饰呈色为蓝中微微泛红，釉面下凹并哑光。无论是国产料或进口料，整体画面青花纹饰色调受窑温影响存在深浅不一的变化，但用放大镜观察，给人一种清澈深沉之感。细看青花呈色，它是“活”的，在浓艳之处有鲜活的“流动状”。

此件展品元青花缠枝莲狮纹大罐，高：28cm 口径：21cm 底径：19.5cm，造型壮硕雄伟，气息古朴雄浑，洁白而坚致，釉面光亮莹润，发色纯正，圆口敛肩丰腹，通体白釉如玉，釉下绘青花纹饰，从上到下分绘连枝，青花呈色明亮妍翠，绘枝精致，开片自然，主次分明，画工精湛，错落有致。肩部绘缠枝莲，腹部以狮纹为饰，狮体矫健，爪锋利，昂首怒视，健曲身，形象遒劲生动传神，气势磅礴，狮身周围点缀花枝数朵，以简洁洗练的手法来增强其清秀的表现力。底足先平削，再斜削，为典型元代修足方法，其胎质、釉色及纹饰绘法时代特征浓郁，且状态良好，从底部、腹部直至口部有明显接胎痕，内腹壁斑驳粗犷，可见一道道极不规则的慢轮修柸痕，即为元青花独特的成型工艺。通体内外施釉，釉色白中泛青，积釉处呈鸭蛋清色泽，为典型的元代景德镇青花瓷器的特征。
